DIY Faux-taxidermy Deers

Last christmas, i bought 2 papier-machĂ© reindeers. Then i realised i didn't liked them at all, until i got the idea, not so long ago, of cutting their heads off (sounds awfull i know), and make them faux-taxidermy style.
Fisrt i draw the shape of the eyes, the ears, the necklace, the bowtie, etc. I painted it, using acrylic, and then used a permanent marker to redefine the details.
I bought those two wooden pedestals that i painted black.
Then i glued on a little ribbon so i can suspend them on the wall.
VoilĂ , i think they are rather charming. I love love faux-taxidermy of all kind.

  1. Where did you get the paper mache reindeers? I have been looking EVERYWHERE!!! I remember my mom having some when I was a kid. Which craft store did you find these?
